2. The work was never started

   After taking payment, the contractor never began the job — no materials, no crew, no show.

3. No refund has been given

   Despite repeated requests, none of the $3,000 has been returned.

4. Phone calls go unanswered

   Calls are not returned. The only responses ever received came by text message.

5. Repeated promises, never kept

   Texts promised a refund or a start date more than once. Neither ever happened.

How to protect yourself

• Verify the license and insurance with Georgia’s licensing board before paying a cent.
• Never pay in full up front — tie payments to completed milestones in writing.
• Get a signed contract covering full scope, price, and timeline.
• Keep everything in writing, and save all receipts and messages.
